BOARD MEMBER
As a professional photographer and avid naturalist, Brenda has helped organizations clarify their messaging through clear, impactful storytelling. In a world full of disheartening environmental news, she firmly believes in the power of story to create hope and drive action. Brenda has decades of nonprofit experience and has worked in many environments, from the forests of Uganda to the mountains of Colombia. But as a former fourth grader who once dreamed of becoming a herpetologist, she is happy to spend her days closer to home turning over logs and wandering streambeds looking for frogs and salamanders. Joining ARC’s Board fulfills a deep desire to increase awareness of the crucial role healthy ecological systems play in supporting not only amphibians and reptiles, but all biodiversity. Brenda holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California San Diego and a master’s in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
