As a kid, I was always staring into creeks and puddles. Not much has changed since then. I didn’t take a traditional path in this field. After working a more standard job for many years, I started volunteering on amphibian research and monitoring projects, which eventually led to a conservation career. I’ve worked with species like the reticulated flatwoods salamander and the Florida bog frog in the Florida Panhandle. I am the Project Coordinator for ARC in Georgia, where our primary focus is the frosted flatwoods salamander. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished for the species. It’s a true team effort, and I feel lucky to be part of it. When I’m not in the field, I enjoy watching movies, listening to podcasts, and making short films. I’m also a big fan of cottonmouths. They deserve more love.
